پردیس موزه‌ای رامسر، معماری تاریخی را در هم‌نشینی با محتوای موزه‌ای، بیانی شیوا از تاریخ، فرهنگ و هنر ایرانی-اسلامی عرضه می‌کند. مجموعه معماری این پردیس در دوره‌ی پهلوی اول، در دشت‌های کوهپایه‌ای و جنگل‌های طبیعی با چشم‌انداز دریا، پی‌ریزی شد و تا اواخر دوره‌ی پهلوی دوم مورداستفاده بود. جاذبه‌های تاریخی اعم از عمارت‌ها و موزه‌ها توأمان با زیبایی‌های طبیعی، این پردیس موزه‌ای را به یکی از اهداف مهم گردشگری تبدیل کرده است. این مجموعه‌ی موزه‌ای در راستای علم موزه‌داری و انجام فعالیت‌های منطبق با رسالت فرهنگی و اجتماعی، فعالیت خود را در بهار سال ۱۳۷۹ هجری شمسی با عنوان موزه عمارت مرمر آغاز نمود. این مجموعه در سال ۱۳۹۵ هجری شمسی در راستای تحقق بخشیدن به اهداف توسعه‌ای و موزه‌داری و در یک دوره فعالیت مرمت، بازسازی و موزه‌سازی، چندین فضای موزه‌ای را به بخش‌های این مرکز اضافه نمود؛ به‌طوری‌که از سال ۱۳۹۵ تاکنون، از یک فضای موزه‌ای به بیش از هشت فضای موزه‌ای و نمایشی جذاب تبدیل گردید که هر یک با محوریتی متفاوت در جنس، فن و دوره‌های تاریخی، بخش زیادی از نیاز زیبایی‌شناسی و ادراک مخاطبین را ارضا و اقناع می‌کند. در حال حاضر این مجموعه شامل: موزه‌ی عمارت مرمر، موزه‌ی تخصصی عاج ایران، موزه‌ی تخصصی شکار، موزه‌ی آوندهای تاریخی، موزه‌ی حمام قدیم، موزه‌ی مردم‌شناسی شمال ایران، نمایشگاه موزه‌ای و باغ‌موزه‌ی گیاه‌شناسی به وسعت ۱۲ هکتار با وجود ۱۸۰۰ گونه گیاهی شاخص و بعضاً نادر و کمیاب است که دارای دو بخش اصلی و جذاب باغ بامبو و تالاب است. 

Ramsar Museum Campus offers historical architecture coexisting with museum content, presenting an eloquent expression of Iranian-Islamic history, culture and art. The architectural complex of this campus was built during the first Pahlavi era, in the foothill plains and natural forests with a view of the sea, and remained in use until the late period of the second Pahlavi. Historical attractions, including mansions museums coupled with natural beauties, have turned this museum campus into one of the important tourist centers. This museum campus, aligned with the principles of museology and committed to activities reflecting its cultural and social mission, began its operation in the spring of 2000 under the name of “Marble Palace Museum”. In 2016, this campus expanded its museum spaces as part of efforts to achieve its development and museology goals. During a period of restoration and reconstruction, several museum spaces were added to the existing section. As a result, since 2016, it has been transformed from a single museum space to more than 8 captivating museum and exhibition spaces. Each of these spaces, focusing on different materials, techniques, and historical periods, satisfies and fulfills a significant portion of the audience’s aesthetic and intellectual needs. This campus currently includes: Marble Palace Museum, Iran Specialized Ivory Museum, Hunting Museum, Historical Ware Museum, Traditional Bath Museum, The Anthropology Museum of the North of Iran, Museum Exhibition, and Botanical Museum Garden with an area of 12 hectares that includes more than 1800 rare and extraordinary species of plants, with two main sections of Bamboo Garden and a wetland.
